After an exciting day of exploring Blanco, Texas, we decided to end the day gigging with Captain Rick! Gigging is an old-fashioned fishing technique that has been used for centuries, and Captain Rick offers an authentic tour in the nearby town of Rockport.

Our tour started off with a quick briefing from Captain Rick on what to expect from the night’s gigging excursion. We had the chance to learn about the best practices and strategies for successful gigging. He also shared some interesting facts and stories about the history of the area.

Once we arrived in Rockport, we loaded up our gear onto the boat and began our tour. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the night sky as we glided along the bay. As we got farther out, Captain Rick began to search for areas where we could spot our target. It was a great way to end our day trip to Blanco, and we had a blast learning about this traditional fishing technique.

We truly enjoyed exploring the area and it was a reminder to always take time out of my busy life as a realtor to enjoy some of these cute Texas towns. Visiting Blanco was a great way to experience a small town in Texas and we will certainly be doing this more often.
